About Lori Abbey
Lori Abbey has been a resident of Tallahassee since enrolling at FSU in 1986. She married her next door neighbor who was a local cross country runner, and has been here ever since. Lori has been an active member of the Tallahassee and Gulf Winds running community since the fall of 2002 when she jumped in with both feet and trained for her first half marathon. Lori brings to Capital City Runners her experience in retail management, her enthusiasm and commitment to the local running and triathlon communities, as well as her passion for endurance sports. Having recently qualified for the Boston Marathon, Lori is fully aware of the importance of finding the right shoe(s) for each person and how a knowledgeable local running shop is paramount to the success of the community's athletes.
The entire Abbey family has been very instrumental in the local running community. Lori's husband works for the Tallahassee Police Department and is a local running enthusiast, while her sons Collin and Aiden are competitive runners/triathletes/swimmers. Fitness and a healthy lifestyle is a very important part of Lori's life and she is very passionate about helping the local community also reach their running/fitness goals.
